With an official mintage of 3,677,175, 1979 Proof Type 1 sets include 1 each of the following: Susan B. Anthony (SBA) Dollar with a 'blob-like' S mint-mark (this is what makes this the 'type 1' set), Kennedy Half Dollar, Washington Quarter, Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel, Lincoln Memorial Cent in a protective hard plastic case with a red background and a black outer box/sleeve.
